MINNETONKA, Minn. — The Minnesota Business Foundation, the 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Minnesota Private Business Council, has awarded $10,000 grants to both the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC) and the Archdiocese of Saint Paul & Minneapolis to bolster security measures for these communities under increasing threat in Minnesota.

Following the recent attack at Annunciation Church and the ongoing threats to the Jewish community in Minnesota and nationally, the Foundation’s support comes at a crucial time. These grants will enable trainings, joint exercises, sharing of technology, and broader engagement with schools, houses of worship, and community service agencies to enhance readiness and safety.

“Minnesota’s long-term economic growth depends on strong and safe communities, and even more fundamentally, all Minnesotans should be able to live their lives in peace and security. The threats the Jewish people and Catholics face are unacceptable and must be countered,” said Christine Snell, Executive Director of the Foundation. “We could not be more proud to make these contributions, and we encourage others to consider joining us in helping to ensure that all Minnesotans can live in peace and security.”

“We are extraordinarily grateful for the Foundation’s leadership in helping us to protect our communities,” said the JCRC and the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis in a joint statement. “This support allows us to build on years of collaboration and ensure we have the measures in place to protect our people and institutions.”
